Sexuality- The gay males challenge the conventional 'couple' who are male and female. This similarly links to Gauntletts idea that the relationship between the mass media and identity argues that the mass media today challenge the traditional definitions of gender; is is represented in our film as their dialect challenges the idea of toughness and emotional reticence as they contradict this idea by being more involved in 'girl talk'.
